Illegal, Unregulated, Uninsured Ride Share, TNC OperatorsAll Family Car Service drivers are periodically background checked for their driving record and cleared of any criminal past by Palm Beach County and Broward County Consumer Affairs as well as our commercial insurance carrier. No driver is granted a commercial driver chauffeur ( HACK ) license if they have a criminal history or poor driving record. All Family Car Service vehicles must pass county inspections annually and must have valid permits on the front window to legally operate with in each county which includes reciprocity with Miami Dade County. All Family Car Service vehicles must also have separate permits for legal access to all international air and seaports. All Family Car Service vehicles are required to have, and have, COMMERCIAL OPERTORS INSURANCE. This insures that should any customer be injured in a vehicle operated by Family Car Service that the customer is protected. Unregulated, unpermitted, and/or uninsured ride sharing operators such as Uber, Lyft, Sidecar, are ILLEGAL within the South Florida Tri County area under current pre-arranged car service regulations. Despite aggressive campaigns to distort the facts, Florida State Law forbids any vehicle to be doubled insured. That means you either have private personal car insurance or commercial operators insurance. You CANNOT legally have both. And NO private car insurer will insure or cover an accident where a customer is riding in a car "for a fee" even regardless that UBER, Lyft, Sidecar, etc claim to provide a one million dollar insurance rider. This is simply currently illegal, and also unsafe, in the State of Florida. Unless the driver from any ride sharing company has a commercial driver chauffeur ( HACK ) license from the local county permitting authorities they are also illegal. The illegal, unethical business practices by ride sharing and TNCs is to undercut legal local operators. Transportation services are quoted at reduced rates do to the circumventing of paying for proper commercial insurance, licenses and permits. Family Car Service and other professional drive for hire services spend a significant amount of money to safely maintain vehicles and proper commercial insurance, permitted vehicles and licensed drivers to operate LEGALLY and SAFELY! Transfer Service Rate DetailsTransfer Rates – All Transfer rates are calculated by the type of vehicle you are requesting and the distance you will be traveling from pick up to drop off. Transfer Rates are NOT determined by the number of passengers per vehicle. Basic non stop transfers are billed the Fare, plus 20% gratuity, fuel surcharge, and tax. Some transfer limitations may apply to stretch vehicles. Quoted Transfer Rates, if present on the booking confirmation are good faith estimates of the anticipated cost of service. Often times parking or tolls may be more or less than shown in the booking confirmation. Additional stops or waiting time will result in additional charges. Hourly Rate DetailsHourly Charter Rates - Hourly service starts the moment the vehicle arrives at it’s scheduled pick up location. Hourly Rates are comprised of the Fare, Gratuity, Tolls, Fuel Tax, and parking if any. Wait time, Extra Stops, and Early Late Fees are NOT billed on a hourly charter services. We do not bill for the next hour till 15 min has past your 1st hour start of service. In other words if your job started on the hour of 8:00pm you are NOT billed for 2nd hour till 9:16 p.m..
